San Clemente is a coastal community in Southern California, about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Most major bus lines have stops in San Clemente. There are rail stations for Amtrak and Metrolink and the nearest airport is Orange County John Wayne Airport which is located about 30 minutes north.

Avenida Del Mar street is the heart of Village San Clemente with charming shops, cafes, and restaurants. The pier area has unique over-the-water dining and Del Mar has a number of quaint local spots that specialize in providing a truly "San Clemente" home town feel. There are also a number of restaurants at Dana Point Harbor about 5 miles north. San Clemente also has a wide range of lodging options including small motor lodges, themed bed and breakfast inns, and larger chain hotels.
